	The Guernsey boating sea and landscape are close to ideal with Herm and Sark close at hand and the water in between those islands providing fantastic cruising, day boating and sometimes challenging racing conditions and visually attractive scenery.

The Guernsey Yacht Club has sections representing most of the areas of boating and sailing with active racing, cruising and dinghy racing sections. Junior sailing is important to the club and has active Laser and Topper fleets and a well suported Optimist fleet (to age 15) as well as Pirates sailing for the very young (ages 5-8 years) and a small fleet of Pico sailors in training.
The Guernsey Yacht Club is a Royal Yachting Association accredited training organisation.

The Guernsey Yacht Club Junior section produces top sailors in all classes and currently has young sailors in the Optimist Development Class and senior Laser fleets. We have an active race and training calendar.
The club’s Juniors visit the UK and France to sail at many open and national events and there are not many weekends in the year when there is not someone sailing off-island.

Training sessions take place every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer and autumn provided by experienced coaches.
